Headstock

• Oil Tuning Gears
• Tighten Gear Casings
• Adjust Tuning Gear tension if applicable
• Tighten Ferrule and Nuts where necessary
• Clean/Polish Surface

Neck

• Clean Player Residue from Fingerboard
• Polish Frets
• Tighten Neck Screws if applicable
• Condition Fretboard

Body

• Clean out bridge pin hole and saddle slot
• Clean and polish saddle
• Condition Bridge (if wood)
• Clean under saddle springs (for electric)
• Tighten Screws for Pickups, Pickguard, Output Jack, Straps, Bridge Plate, and Saddles
• Clean and Polish surface

 

• Measure neck relief and string height with old strings at standard tuning
• Safely remove old strings - Never clipping at tension!
• Install strings using appropriate techniques for electric, acoustic, or classical strings
• Clip strings at tuning pegs to avoid case-tearing edges
• Tune to Standard
• Pre-Stretch strings
• Retune
• Play Test
• Apply conditioning to strings for longevity
• Final Tuning
